This may seem like a pretty obvious tip but believe me, this has saved me a lot of time!
Whenever I paint a chair I always start with the chair upside down and paint all the bits I can see including the chair back.
Before I did this I always seemed to miss a section out, even after two coats, and it was always when I thought I’d finished that I’d discover the annoying bit of bare wood!
