Ok, another domestic has broken out. I have painted this lovely big old pine cupboard with my favourite Annie Sloan paint – Old White. It’s been lightly distressed and the top’s been sanded back and waxed. My wife thinks it should stay like this, I’m not sure – those 2 big panels seem to be crying out for something. What do you think?
Well, ‘Should It Stay Or Should It Go Now’ – the stencilling that is? The lighting makes it look a different colour inside at night. A good thing with Annie Sloan is that if you don’t like something you can always paint over it and start again. In my defence, I do feel it’s part of our job to try out different things – just so you can see, without doing it yourself!
Well – the big majority of people who commented liked the stencils BUT there was a lot of chat about the knob! So we’ve taken that on board, and gone for a matching pair – so a big thank you to you, I think it finishes the cupboard off nicely.
