A grand old Mahogany Chest Of Drawers that had seen better days. With damage to the veneer and water stains as well as sun damage and scratches it would have cost a fortune to get back to it’s original condition. So, I thought I’d try some Annie Sloan magic.
Being a Victorian Chest I wanted to use a colour that was sympathetic to the period – black. I used Annie Sloan Graphite with some Paris Grey for detailing to break it up a little. I only needed less than half a pot as 1 coat covered really well. This is one of the very rare occasions where I used just the Dark Wax, which really brought the chest back to life. The finished piece is at home now and Sue has already said she wants to keep this one!
