This is what Joules Holmes achieved with some Annie Sloan Old Ochre and Clear and Dark Wax. Great work Joules – both stunning – and thanks everyone for sharing your painty pics with us!
Lesley Lawford from ‘Shabby Tres Chic’ did this fabulous dining set – ‘I recently refurbished an old mid brown dining set. Firstly I applied two coats of Annie Sloan’s Old Ochre Chalk Paint, after which I clear waxed the whole lot. Then I used Annie’s dark wax to highlight the details around the table legs to give them an aged look, I also did this on the detailed carved areas of the chairs. I then re-upholstered the chairs in a pretty soft beige French Toile fabric which I think complements the lovely chalk paint colour.’
Lovely work Lesley! thanks for sharing
Talented Tanya Timmis (she’s been at it again!) with not one but two super creations – the chunky sideboard in Annie Sloan Country Grey and clear and dark wax.
And a gorgeous little Armoire is Annie Sloan Old White with Louis Blue and Clear and Dark wax.
They look good enough to eat!

‘Thought you would like to see my latest project. A cute wooden pedestal drum table with 3 drawers. Painted in Annie Sloan Old Ochre, distressed and waxed with a mix of Annie Sloan Clear and Dark wax.
The clock face was painted with Old White and the numbers and hands stencilled in Graphite. Finally, the drawers were lined with a coordinating clock patterned paper. This one sold immediately, and I have orders for 2 more!!’
How cool is this before and after kindly shared by Louise McLellan – very cool!
‘The ‘Jaffa’ Half Moon Table
This zesty little number will be a talking point in any hallway. Graphite and Barcelona Orange AS Paint from the wonderful Dovetails. Half orange decoupage on top with lightly distressed edge and flat varnished to maintain the look.’
